DESIGN // The Center for Health Design launched a new website, making it easier for health providers, architects, designers, product manufacturers, students and others to reference its work, use its tools, employ strategies and tap into the knowledge of leading health care designers. The new site includes increased search capability, new categories and an events calendar.
HVAC // DriSteem Corp. introduced a new online humidifier sizing and selection tool, DriCalc. The tool's validation feature ensures that each system's steam generator and dispersion assembly are properly paired. Users can view the chosen system in plan view with RH and temperature at entering, before and after mixing, and before and after the dispersion.
FIRE SAFETY // Life Safety Compliance released a new training video that includes such topics as protection of vertical openings, corridor walls, corridor doors, automatic sprinkler systems and means of egress. The video spells out operational and construction standards to minimize the risk of fire and maximize life safety should a fire occur.
