Facility: University of Minnesota Amplatz Children's Hospital
Location: Minneapolis
Architects: Tsoi/Kobus & Associates

The University of Minnesota Amplatz Children's Hospital in Minneapolis was developed and built with a vision in mind: to design the ideal environment in which to provide and receive children's health care.

Today, the hospital not only delivers some of the most advanced pediatric health care in the country, but also is setting new standards for safety, comfort and clinical efficiency.

The design team and client also felt a special responsibility to create a fun, healthy and nurturing atmosphere for children.

Special design features contribute to the creativity, such as the cutout seating spaces where parents and children can enjoy quiet moments together.
