Director of Engineering Services

Lexington Medical Center is a 414-bed modern medical complex that anchors a comprehensive network of 600-plus affiliated physicians, including six strategically located community medical and urgent care centers, more than 48 physician practice locations, an occupational health center, the largest extended care facility in the state and an Alzheimer's Care Center.

Basic Function:
Direction of all operations for the Engineering Department for Lexington Health Services District, assisting all other departments and Physician Practices in carrying out their functions. Responsible for management and technical direction for Hospital Engineering, Construction, Maintenance, Landscaping, Biomedical and Property Management Divisions. Staff consists of over 70 full time employees including 5 managers. Oversee the upkeep, renovation and expansion for over one million square feet of space on campus as well as 1.6 million sq. /ft of off campus space. Responsible for a Fleet of over 50 vehicles and annual departmental budget of 4.2 Million dollars.

Qualifications:
A minimum of 7 years demonstrated, large-hospital engineering directorship experience or equivalent is required. Previous healthcare experience managing a large engineering department to include Biomedical, Construction, Landscaping and Property Management preferred. Experience with energy cost saving initiatives and construction/renovation projects preferred. B.S. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, P.E. qualification or Master's Degree preferred. CHFM preferred.

Property Manager (FT)

In this role, the Superintendent will act as an internal general contractor and will be responsible for procuring subcontractors, negotiating contract rates, organizing construction activities with other hospital departments and ensures work/construction adheres to standards and code compliance. The selected candidate must have Bachelor's degree , current State of Florida Class A certified general contracting license and a minimum of FOUR years general contracting experience in high rise construction / health care capital construction. Demonstrated knowledge of related building codes as documented by current CEU's in the following is required: Florida Building Code, A.I.A. Guidelines for Health Care Design and Construction, National Electrical Code and Life Safety Code 101. Only candidates with prior Hospital/High Rise/Healthcare construction will be considered.
