A major transformation is under way at Health Facilities Management's website, where we recently premiered a sharp new design that mirrors the appearance of our sister sites, including Hospitals & Health Networks, and offers many advantages over our previous platform to support our expanding digital efforts.

For a start, it's much easier to navigate, with broad categories like Topics, Commentary and Special Reports that provide you with a quick overview of content. Drilling deeper, you can search media of all types via areas of interest like Architecture & Design, Infrastructure, Operations, Codes & Standards, Environmental Services and more. And, unlike our previous website, back issues are chronologically arranged so that you can search the content of a specific edition.

Additionally, the home page is more engaging and much broader in scope, offering a greater variety of material. The new design also allows the editorial team to update the home page much more frequently with news and trending pieces. Ultimately, this will make viewing the home page a much more dynamic experience than was possible on our previous site.

Finally, the new site gives you several options for following and responding to our pieces. Easy-to-use "Join, Follow, Connect & Subscribe" menus allow you to post our articles over a variety of social media and to subscribe to our e-newsletters as well as follow us to receive real-time alerts when new information is posted. Moreover, you now can post public comments on articles that we put online.

While we still have much content to add to the site, we're very proud of how this preliminary rollout has begun to address your needs. Log on to www.hfmmagazine.com and see if you agree. We welcome your feedback.
