The Joint Commission recently published a number of tips to help hospitals with certain elements of performance in its Life Safety chapter and related National Fire Protection Association Life Safety Code requirements. The advice, which appeared in the July 17 issue of the Joint Commission Online e-newsletter, covers frequently scored requirements on doors and door widths, fire alarms, sprinkler systems, signage, cubicle curtains, and fabrics and materials.
