The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) recently appointed an American Hospital Association (AHA) representative to the Emergency Response Interoperability Center Public Safety Advisory Committee, which provides recommendations to the center to ensure that the public safety wireless broadband network is interoperable on a nationwide basis. John Collins, engineering and compliance director for the AHA's American Society for Healthcare Engineering, will serve on the committee until its charter expires on Aug. 6, 2012.
