NFPA weekly update: July 27-31
The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) manages more than 300 codes and works with more than 250 technical committees in its codes and standards development process. Below is a list of NFPA committee happenings for the week of July 27-31.
Ballot results
NFPA 99, Health Care Facilities Code, 2027 edition. The committee posted final ballot results for tentative interim amendment (TIA) No. 1913 regarding the testing of noncombustible materials. The results are posted under the “next edition” tab in the “other committee information” section.
NFPA 101®, Life Safety Code®, 2027 edition. The committee posted final ballot results for TIA No. 1909 regarding the testing of noncombustible materials. The committee also posted final ballots for amendments 101-3 and 101-11, related to noncombustible materials and sprinkler requirements, respectively. All ballot results are posted under the “next edition” tab in the “other committee information” section.
Meeting notices, agendas and minutes
NFPA 13, Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems, 2028 edition. First draft meeting minutes from Jan. 15-16 are posted under the “next edition” tab in the “first draft committee information” section. Also, a second draft meeting agenda for the committee’s upcoming Aug. 5-6 meetings is posted under the “next edition” tab in the “second draft committee information” section.
