NFPA weekly update: July 7-11

The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) manages more than 300 codes and works with more than 250 technical committees in its codes and standards development process. Below is a list of NFPA committee happenings for the week of July 7 to July 11. 

Meeting notices, agendas and minutes

The following committees released information on meeting notices, agendas and minutes.

NFPA 1, Fire Code. The committee posted second draft meeting minutes from its June 2-3 meetings. The minutes pertain to the code’s 2027 edition and are posted under the “next edition” tab in the “second draft committee information” section.

NFPA 58, Liquefied Petroleum Gas Code. The committee posted first draft meeting notices for upcoming meetings taking place October 14-17 to discuss the code’s 2028 edition. The notices are posted under the “next edition” tab in the “first draft committee information” section.

NFPA 85, Boiler and Combustion Systems Hazards Code. The committee posted a first draft meeting agenda for an upcoming meeting taking place Aug. 26. The agenda pertains to the first draft of the code’s 2027 edition and is posted under the “next edition” tab in the “first draft committee information” section.

NFPA 99, Health Care Facilities Code. The committee posted second draft agendas for upcoming meetings taking place Aug. 5 and Aug. 14. The agendas pertain to the second draft of the code’s 2027 edition and are posted under the “next edition” tab in the “second draft committee information” section.

NFPA 99B, Standard for Hypobaric Facilities. The committee posted a second draft agenda for upcoming meetings taking place Aug. 11-12. The agendas pertain to the second draft of the code’s 2027 edition and are posted under the “next edition” tab in the “second draft committee information” section.

NFPA 318, Standard for the Protection of Semiconductor Fabrication Facilities. The committee shared a pre-first draft meeting agenda for an upcoming meeting taking place July 25. The agenda pertains to the standard’s 2028 edition and is posted under the “next edition” tab.
