NFPA weekly update: June 22-26

The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) manages more than 300 codes and works with more than 250 technical committees in its codes and standards development process. Below is a list of NFPA committee happenings for the week of June 22-26.  

Tentative interim amendments

NFPA 70®, National Electrical Code®, 2026. The committee posted tentative interim amendment (TIA) No. 1903. The proposed amendment seeks to revise standards for bypass and isolation for transfer equipment. The TIA is open for public comment until July 27. 

Meeting notices and agendas

NFPA 70®, National Electrical Code®, 2029. The committee posted a pre-first draft meeting agenda for its upcoming June 30 meeting. The agenda is posted under the “next edition” tab in the “first draft committee information” section.

NFPA 110, Standard for Emergency and Standby Power Systems, 2028. The committee posted a second draft meeting notice for its upcoming July 27-28 meetings. The notice is posted under the “next edition” tab in the “second draft committee information” section.
