NFPA weekly update: June 9-13
The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) manages more than 300 codes and works with more than 250 technical committees in its codes and standards development process. Below is a list of NFPA committee happenings for the week of June 9-13.
NFPA 45, Standard on Fire Protection for Laboratories Using Chemicals. The committee for the standard’s 2027 edition posted its first draft ballot, including the public input report, committee input report, first revisions report and final ballot. The first draft ballot is posted under the “next edition” tab in the “first draft committee information” section.
NFPA 101A, Guide on Alternative Approaches to Life Safety. The committee for the guide’s 2028 edition posted an agenda for its upcoming June 26 meeting. The agenda is posted under the “next” edition tab in the “first draft committee information” section.
NFPA 855, Standard for the Installation of Stationary Energy Storage Systems. The motions committee report, which is posted under the “next edition” tab, includes the withdrawal of three certified amending motions by the original submitter.
