NFPA weekly update: May 12-16
The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) manages more than 300 codes and works with more than 250 technical committees in its codes and standards development process. Below is a list of NFPA committee happenings for the week of May 12-16.
Ballots
NFPA 551, Guide for the Evaluation of Fire Risk Assessments. The committee posted the first draft ballot of the 2027 edition under the “next edition” tab in the “first draft committee information” section. The ballot includes the public input with responses report, committee input report and first revisions report.
NFPA 1225, Standard for Emergency Services Communications. The committee posted the first draft ballot of the 2027 edition under the “next edition” tab in the “first draft committee information” section. The ballot includes the public input with responses report, committee input report and first revisions report.
Meeting notices
NFPA 1225, Standard for Emergency Services Communications. A pre-second draft meeting notice for the committee’s upcoming meeting taking place July 18 is posted under the “next edition” tab in the “second draft committee information” section. The meeting pertains to the second draft of the standard’s 2027 edition.
