NFPA weekly update: Nov. 17-21

The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) manages more than 300 codes and works with more than 250 technical committees in its codes and standards development process. Below is a list of NFPA committee happenings for the week of Nov. 17-21.     

Ballots

NFPA 13R, Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems in Low-Rise Residential Occupancies. The first draft ballot for the standard’s 2028 edition is posted under the next edition tab in the first draft committee information section. It includes the public input report, first revision report and final ballot.

NFPA 30, Flammable and Combustible Liquids Code. The second draft ballot for the code’s 2027 edition is posted under the next edition tab in the second draft committee information section. It includes the public comment with responses report, second revisions report and final ballot.

Meeting notices and minutes

NFPA 13, Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems. The committee posted a first draft meeting notice for its upcoming Jan.15-16 meetings to discuss the code’s 2028 edition. It also posted first draft meeting minutes from its July 15 and Aug. 12 meetings. The notices and minutes are posted under the next edition tab in the first draft committee information section.

NFPA 13R, Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems in Low-Rise Residential Occupancies. The committee posted first draft meeting minutes from its July 7-8 meetings where it discussed the standard’s 2028 edition. The minutes are posted under the next edition tab in the first draft committee information section.

NFPA 70E, Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace. The committee posted a second draft meeting notices for its upcoming Dec. 17 meeting to discuss the standard’s 2027 edition. The notice is posted under the next edition tab in the second draft committee information section.
