NFPA weekly update: Oct. 12-16

The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) manages more than 300 codes and works with more than 250 technical committees in its codes and standards development process. Below is a list of NFPA committee happenings for the week of Oct. 12-16.  

Open for NITMAM

Tentative interim amendments

Tentative interim amendments (TIA) have been issued for the following codes and standards. 

• NFPA 1, Fire Code, 2027 edition. NFPA has issued 25 TIAs. TIA 27-1 through TIA 27-25 are posted under the current and prior editions tab.  
• NFPA 2, Hydrogen Technologies Code, 2026 edition. TIA 26-2 is posted under the current and prior editions tab. 
• NFPA 13, Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems, 2025 edition. TIA 25-7 is posted under the current and prior edition tab.
• NFPA 30B, Code for the Manufacture and Storage of Aerosol Products, 2027 edition. TIA 27-1 is posted under the current and prior editions tab. 
• NFPA 101®, Life Safety Code®, 2027 edition. TIA 27-2 is posted under the current and prior editions tab. 

Meeting agenda and minutes

NFPA 13, Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems, 2028 edition. Second draft meeting minutes from the committee’s July 16 and Aug. 5-6 meetings are posted under the next edition tab in the second draft committee information section.
