FIRE SAFETY // STI Firestop has developed a new app for mobile devices called System Search and Submittal Builder. The app, available on Android and Apple, allows users to bundle firestop systems together into a submittal for project bids. The submittals can be saved and shared easily through email, text and other means of communication.
CONSTRUCTION // Autodesk Inc. has launched ConTech Academy, a free online and on-demand continuing education site for construction professionals. Courses touch on new technologies emerging on construction sites, such as conducting site surveys using drones and developing site layouts aided by robotic solutions. Professionals can learn new skills, earn continuing education credits and download helpful guides and resources.
