As reported last month, the Facility Guidelines Institute (FGI) has announced the opening of the public proposal period for the 2014 edition of the Guidelines for Design and Construction of Health Care Facilities. The Health Guidelines Revision Committee, the oversight group responsible for updating the guidelines, has begun the process of revising the 2010 guidelines and is soliciting proposals for changes to its text through October 31. All interested parties are invited to submit suggestions through the FGI electronic proposal system. Accepted proposals will be made available for public review and comment in the draft 2014 guidelines.
