The public proposal period for the 2014 edition of the Facility Guidelines Institute's (FGI's) Guidelines for Design and Construction of Health Care Facilities expires at the end of this month. The Health Guidelines Revision Committee, the oversight group responsible for updating the Guidelines, has begun the revision process. All interested parties are invited to submit suggestions through the FGI electronic proposal system by Oct. 31. The Guidelines are used widely by architects, engineers, health care facility managers, and many state and local authorities as a guideline, reference or code for new and renovated health care facilities.
