NFPA weekly update: Jan. 5-9
The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) manages more than 300 codes and works with more than 250 technical committees in its codes and standards development process. Below is a list of NFPA committee happenings for the week of Jan. 5-9.
Tentative interim amendment
Tentative interim amendment (TIA) No. 1877 has been proposed for the 2022 and 2027 editions of NFPA 704, Standard System for the Identification of the Hazards of Materials for Emergency Response. The TIA is posted under both the current and prior editions tabs. Public commenting closes Feb. 18.
Meeting agenda
NFPA 1660, Standard for Emergency, Continuity, a Crisis Management: Preparedness, Response, and Recovery. The committee posted a second first draft meeting agendas for its upcoming Jan. 13-15 meetings to discuss the standard’s 2028 edition. The agendas are posted under the next edition tab in the first draft committee information section.
