AdventHealth recently announced the expansion of its Carrollwood facility based in Tampa, Fla., to accommodate more inpatient, surgical and specialty care services.

Serving more than 300,000 residents living a short distance from the facility, AdventHealth Carrollwood is adding a new six-story patient tower set to open in 2029 and a parking garage that will come online sooner.

The patient tower will include expanded surgical support areas, including pre-operative and recovery space; a new cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology lab; flexible space for future clinical and support services; and capacity for future bed expansion.

Construction  on the $214 million budgeted project is set to begin soon.

“This expansion represents our commitment to caring for our neighbors — body, mind and spirit — by bringing more complex care closer to where they live and work,” says Joe Johnson, president and CEO of AdventHealth Carrollwood.
