The vision for the new Bon Secours St. Francis Medical Center was to create an environment for healing the mind, the body and the spirit. This motif is strikingly evident upon entering the chapel, a two-story space where one is greeted by the soft sounds of water gently flowing down a granite wall.
The chapel walls feature tall glass art pieces depicting the images of St. Francis and St. Claire. Soft light enters from the nearby meditation garden.
The chapel's second story balcony provides a place for patients and family to participate in services in a more private setting. The ceiling is a shallow blue dome with gold stars gracing its surface.
