Site work recently began and financing completed on the new $100 million, 300,000-square-foot Conventus medical office building in Buffalo that will connect nearly every present and future facility that comprises the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus. Work on the new medical facility is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2015.

Colorado

Groundbreaking was held for the expansion and renovation of Craig Hospital, a leading neuro-rehabilitation facility in Englewood. The project will unite the facility's two current facilities that offer inpatient and outpatient services. The addition will encompass two inpatient units with private rooms and a fitness and wellness facility.

Wisconsin

The University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics and Centerre Healthcare Corp. announced plans to build a freestanding inpatient rehabilitation hospital. The 50-bed Madison Rehabilitation Hospital will provide comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation for patients who have suffered a stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations and more.

Texas

HCA Gulf Coast Division broke ground on the new $71 million Pearland Medical Center, a 144,000-square-foot, 30 bed acute-care hospital near Houston. Scheduled to open in the fall of 2014, the facility will feature surgical suites, medical-surgical beds, intensive care beds, a 24-hour emergency department and a wide range of imaging services and women's services.
