Health & Human Services recently awarded $728 million in Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) grants to expand 398 community health centers. The ACA allocates $1.5 billion in funding to construct and renovate health centers, about half of which was awarded in 2010. The grants will help facilities expand access to an additional 860,000 patients.
