The Facility Guidelines Institute (FGI) is seeking comments on the first draft of its "Sustainable Design Guidelines for Hospitals and Outpatient Facilities" white paper. The FGI expects the guidelines in this paper to migrate into the 2018 edition of the FGI Guidelines for Design and Construction of Hospitals and Outpatient Facilities. In the meantime, it will be posted on the FGI website and referenced in the appendix of the 2014 edition. This first public comment period is open through September and a second comment period will be later in the year. The final paper will be posted in early 2014.
