The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) last month approved Det Norske Veritas Healthcare as a national accreditation organization for critical access hospitals (CAH) that request participation in the Medicare program. The approval is effective Dec. 23, 2010, through Dec. 23, 2014.
