The exam revamp is supported by new preparation materials and study resources to help candidates succeed
|

The American Society for Health Care Engineering (ASHE) has updated its Mechanic Evaluation and Certification for Health Care™ (MECH™) exam with the support of three task forces. The new version ensures the certification reflects current knowledge, competencies and best practices in the field.

The previous exam was retired on Jan. 25. Moving forward, all candidates will take the updated MECH exam.

Updated preparation materials and study resources also are now available, and candidates are encouraged to review the new content outline and use the latest study tools as they prepare.

“ASHE would like to recognize the dedicated task force members who contributed their time and expertise to update the MECH exam,” ASHE leaders shared. “Their collaboration ensures the exam remains aligned with best practices in the field. We appreciate their efforts to advance the field and support health care mechanics and technicians in documenting their skills and gaining professional recognition.”
