The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) manages more than 300 codes and works with more than 250 technical committees in its codes and standards development process. Below is a list of NFPA committee happenings for the week of May 19-23

Meeting notices, minutes and agendas

NFPA 1, Fire Code. Agendas for meetings scheduled for June 2-5 are posted under the “next edition” tab in the “second draft committee information” section. The agendas pertain to the second draft of the code’s 2027 edition.

NFPA 14, Standard for the Installation of Standpipe and Hose Systems. A notice for the committee’s June 12 meeting is posted under the “next edition” tab in the “first draft committee information” section. The meeting pertains to the first draft of the standard’s 2027 edition.

NFPA 70E, Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace. A notice for the committee’s Aug. 19 meeting is posted under the “next edition” tab in the “second draft committee information” section. The meeting pertains to the second draft of the standard’s 2027 edition.

NFPA 170, Standard for Fire Safety and Emergency Symbols. Minutes from the committee’s April 21 meeting are posted under the “next edition” tab in the “first draft committee information” section. The minutes pertain to the first draft of the standard’s 2027 edition.
