NFPA weekly update: June 2-6
The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) manages more than 300 codes and works with more than 250 technical committees in its codes and standards development process. Below is a list of NFPA committee happenings for the week of June 2-6.
Ballots
NFPA 70B, Standard for Electrical Equipment Maintenance. The second draft ballot, including the public comment report, second revisions report and final ballot, for the standard’s 2026 edition is posted under the “next edition” tab in the “second draft committee information” section.
NFPA 85, Boiler and Combustion Systems Hazards Code. The first draft ballot, including the public input, first revisions and committee input reports, for the code’s 2027 edition is posted under the “next edition” tab in the “first draft committee information” section.
Tentative interim amendment
The committee for NFPA 85, Boiler and Combustion Systems Hazards Code, is soliciting public comments on proposed tentative interim amendment No. 1833. The comment period closes June 23. The TIA is posted under the “current & prior editions” tab.
Meeting minutes
