NFPA weekly update: Aug. 4-8

The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) manages more than 300 codes and works with more than 250 technical committees in its codes and standards development process. Below is a list of NFPA committee happenings for the week of Aug. 4-8. 

Meeting agendas and minutes

The following committees released information on meeting agendas and minutes.

NFPA 3, Standard for Commissioning of Fire Protection and Life Safety Systems. The committee posted a second draft meeting agendas for its Aug. 28 meeting to discuss the standard’s 2027 edition. The agenda is posted under the “next edition” tab in the “first draft committee information” section.

NFPA 4, Standard for Integrated Fire Protection and Life Safety System Testing. The committee posted a second draft meeting agendas for its Aug. 28 meeting to discuss the standard’s 2027 edition. The agenda is posted under the “next edition” tab in the “second draft committee information” section.

NFPA 20, Standard for the Installation of Stationary Pumps for Fire Protection. The committee posted first draft meeting notices for its upcoming Oct. 9-10 meetings to discuss the standard’s 2028 edition. NFPA 80A, Recommended Practice for Protection of Buildings from Exterior Fire Exposures. The committee posted a second draft meeting notice for its upcoming Nov. 4 meeting to discuss the document’s 2027 edition. NFPA 101®, Life Safety Code®. The committee posted second draft meeting minutes from its July 22-23 meetings. The minutes pertain to the standard’s 2027 edition and are posted under the “next edition” tab in the “second draft committee information” section.

NFPA 318, Standard for the Protection of Semiconductor Fabrication Facilities. The committee posted pre-first draft meeting minutes from its July 25 meeting. The minutes pertain to the standard’s 2028 edition. The minutes are posted under “next edition” tab in the “first draft committee information” section.

NFPA 5000, Building Construction and Safety Code. The committee posted second draft meeting minutes from its July 22-23 meetings. The minutes pertain to the standard’s 2027 edition and are posted under the “next edition” tab in the “second draft committee information” section.
