Committee updates on emergency services communications standards and safety codes for flammable and combustible liquids

The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) manages more than 300 codes and works with more than 250 technical committees in its codes and standards development process. Below is a list of NFPA committee happenings for the week of Aug. 25-29 

Final Ballot

NFPA 37, Standard for the Installation and Use of Stationary Combustion Engines and Gas Turbines. The first draft ballot of the standard’s 2027 edition, including the public input with responses report, committee input report, firs revisions report and final ballot, is posted under the “next edition” tab in the “first draft” section

Meeting notices and minutes

The following committees released information on meeting agendas and minutes.

NFPA 30, Flammable and Combustible Liquids Code. The committee posted second draft meeting minutes from its Aug. 4-8 meetings where it discussed the code’s 2027 edition. The minutes are posted under the “next edition” tab in the “second draft committee information” section.

NFPA 59, Utility LP-Gas Plant Code. The committee posted second draft meeting minutes from its Aug. 1 meeting where it discussed the code’s 2027 edition. The minutes are posted under the “next edition” tab in the “second draft committee information” section.

NFPA 1225, Standard for Emergency Services Communications. The committee posted second draft meeting notices announcing two upcoming meetings taking place Sept. 4, where it will discuss the standard’s 2027 edition. The notices are posted under the “next edition” tab in the “second draft committee information” section.
