New York

Physician-led plans to construct a new Women & Children's Hospital of Buffalo on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus are moving ahead with the selection of architectural firm Shepley Bulfinch Richardson & Abbott, Boston. The project will include a new ambulatory care and surgery center in addition to the new hospital. The developer is Ciminelli Real Estate.

Ohio

In June, The Christ Hospital, Cincinnati, will begin construction of a $265 million expansion and improvement of its main campus in Mt. Auburn. The 332,000-square-foot facility will be dedicated to orthopaedic and spine care. Architectural firm Skidmore, Owings and Merrill and builders Messer Construction Co. were hired for the project. Completion is expected in spring 2015.

Kentucky

Alterations and renovations totaling $37.5 million are planned for Blanchfield Army Community Hospital (BACH), Fort Campbell. Construction also will include the addition of a two-story behavioral health clinic, which will be connected to the existing BACH. Alteration space totals approximately 16,000 square feet and new construction totals approximately 45,000 square feet.

Florida

Martin Health System broke ground on the 90-bed Tradition Medical Center of west Port St. Lucie on a 20-acre site in St. Lucie County. The integrated project delivery team of HKS Architects, Balfour Beatty Construction and TLC Engineering were selected for the project.
