The Facility Guidelines Institute (FGI) recently announced the opening of the public proposal period for the 2014 edition of the Guidelines for Design and Construction of Health Care Facilities. The Health Guidelines Revision Committee, the oversight group responsible for updating each edition of the guidelines, has begun the process of revising the 2010 guidelines and is soliciting proposals for changes to its text through October 31. All interested parties are invited to submit suggestions for revisions or additions to the guidelines through the FGI electronic proposal system. Accepted proposals will be made available for public review and comment in the draft 2014 guidelines, scheduled for release in 2012.
