Facility: Holland Hospital Medical Building
Location: Zeeland, Mich.
Architects: Progressive AE

Patients and visitors arriving at the Holland Hospital Medical Building, Zeeland, Mich., are met by a large daylight-filled, atrium-style reception area.

The greeting space creates an inviting environment that utilizes contemporary, comfortable seating and a brightly colored children's entertainment area set apart by glass-paneled, movable walls.

Within the children's area, tabletop games and multimedia systems keep younger visitors engaged and entertained while waiting.

The reception area provides the first impression of a building that has been designed to provide seamless delivery of high-quality care in a state-of-the-art, patient-friendly
environment.

Registration areas as well as the workspaces for clinical and support staff throughout the building have been designed with an open concept to allow for ease of movement and generous natural light.
